About
My story started as an public school art teacher where I taught for 20 years before retiring to chase my dream of being a professional artist. I have evolved from teacher to empty nester and artist following her dream and building a new chapter that allows me to share my art and enjoy the pleasure it brings to others whether from a memory or the connection it brings to people. Talking to clients and getting to see them connect with something I have created and share a love of something we have in common is one of the best things about my career.
I hope that my work shares the joy and peace that I find near the water.
Vision
My art is always evolving as I learn new things and have new experiences but the things that stay constant are color, joy and a love of the ocean. I have lived by the water my whole life in a small coastal community. I grew up chasing sunsets and finding hidden beaches in the marsh and still to this day when I paint what I love, it is about the water or the way sunlight affects the things around us. I also love the colors that can be found in flowers and a really cute dog!
